Solidarity with the Kurdish hunger strike campaign is growing.
Dozens of actions in solidarity with the hunger strike led by HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven to demand the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan have been promoted in many countries.
London
In London women took to the streets carrying posters of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan in action in front of the British Parliament. The action in solidarity with HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven who has been on hunger strike for 86 days, was also in support of Ilhan Şiş, who has been on hunger strike for 47 days in Wales.
During the action women handed out leaflets and chanted slogans like "Bobby Sands yesterday, Leyla Güven today.”
Paris
In Paris Kurdish women promoted a civil disobedience action in the Gare de Nord to draw attention to the isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and support hunger strike actions.
Women carried a banner saying: “Freedom for Öcalan” and “We are all Leyla Güven.”
The health of the hunger strikers has been deteriorating day after day and activists urged the French government and the related institutions to take action immediately.
Women ended their action by vowing that isolation will be ended by increasing the resistance.
Basel
A human chain action was promoted in Basel to protest the aggravated isolation against Öcalan and to draw attention to the hunger strike protest initiated by Leyla Güven.
Kurdish Women’s Movement in Europe (TJK-E) led the human chain in Claraplatz under the slogan “Break isolation, destroy fascism.”
Ronahi Women's Council activists also joined the action carrying photos of the hunger strikers and Öcalan.
Following the reading of a statement about isolation and hunger strikes, the action ended with the slogans in favor of Öcalan and the hunger strikers.
Hildesheim
In the German city of Hildesheim Meryem Women’s Commune called on people to join solidarity actions with hunger strikers and leaflets were handed out in busy streets.
Marseille
In Marseille, Arin Mirkan Women's Assembly organised a human chain action to protest the isolation against Öcalan and to draw attention to the hunger strikes.
HDP Hakkari MP, Leyla Güven, was commended as were commended hunger strikers in Strasbourg, in prisons and around Europe.
Message to the European Parliament
Women gathered in front of the European Parliament's representation in Marseille carrying pictures of Leyla Güven and other hunger strikers. Reminding that Leyla Güven has been on hunger strike for 86 days, while 14 activists in Strasbourg and 1 in Wales are fasting for 47 days, women chanted “We are all Leyla Güven.”

Women called on the CPT to act and take responsibility and to end the isolation in Imrali.
Following the action, the Women's Assembly representative left files to the European Parliament officials regarding isolation and hunger strikes.
Freiburg
In order to draw attention to the hunger strike resistance, an information stand was set up by Nuda Women's Assembly in Freiburg, Germany. Hundreds of leaflets were handed out to passers-by.
Duisburg
In Duisburg, Revolutionary Youth Movement (Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger) organised a meeting with the slogan “Freedom for Öcalan”
Speeches were made to recall that HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Guven has been on hunger strike for 86 days.
The Hague
In the city of the Hague, in the Netherlands, Kurds held an action in front of the Dutch Parliament and expressed their support for the hunger strike campaign.
Hamburg
The isolation of Abdullah Öcalan was also condemned by the Kurdish women and youth in the German city of Hamburg. Demonstrators called attention to the Kurdish hunger strikes and voiced their solidarity with the growing resistance.
