YPG (People's Defense Units) has said in a written statement that the attacks of ISIS gangs aiming to occupy Kobanê continued on the 79th day.

The statement reported that the YPG/YPJ units are continuing their offensives and attacks against the ISIS gangs that are trying to keep their attacks going with reinforcements they have brought in from Raqqa, Minbis and Jarablus.

Eastern Front

YPG Press Centre stated that an ISIS group was ambushed after attempting to infiltrate the Kaniya Kurda region on the eastern front last night. Three militants in the group were killed while others fled. Short-time battle raged out between YPG/YPJ units and ISIS groups also at different points on the same front. 6 gang members were ascertained killed in the fighting.

Southeastern Front

YPG fighters thwarted a suicide attack of the gang groups with a bomb-laden vehicle on the 48th Street on the southeastern front. The number of casualties left by the explosion couldn't be made clear while 8 gang members were killed in clashes following the attack attempt.

Southern Front

7 members of the ISIS gangs were killed and ammunition belonging to them was seized in clashes that broke out at various locations on the southern front yesterday. One member of the ISIS groups was captured alive in the battle field and arrested by YPG units.

According to the statement, YPG offensives outside the city are also continuing. 2 members of the gangs were killed in an action that targeted the gang groups near the village of Menîte last night.
