YPG liberate one more village

YPG (People's Defense Units) guerrillas have freed one more village today.

The village of Dirdara (Serêkaniyê) had been occupied by al-Qaida-linked militants.

It has been reported that on Tuesday the YPG guerrillas begun an operation to free the village of Dirdara (2 km east of Çafa, a village previously liberated by the Kurdish guerrillas). The operation concluded succesfully this morning at around 11.30.

It is understood that the occupying militants (linked to al-Nusra Front and Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) suffered some casualties.

Dirdara is the fourth village to be liberated by YPG guerrillas in the last two weeks: on 24 September the village of Çafa (it had been occupied by al-Qaida-linked militants on 14 September) was liberated, while on 18 September the village of Elok was liberated. On the night between 22 and 23 September the village of Xerduga (used by Islamic militants as their headquarters) also was liberated.
