West Kurdistan's People's Defense Units (YPG) have launched the third phase of the “Serêkaniyê Martyrs” revolutionary operation in the region of Qamishlo's Til Temir district on Wednesday evening.

YPG fighters took the control of the Asuri village Til Shamiran, located five kilometers from Til Temir, following an operation early yesterday evening.

Al-Qaeda linked gang groups attacking Kurds in west Kurdistan had been deployed in the Til Shamiran village after YPG took the Menacir town in Serêkaniyê region.

YPG also liberated the Mixebiş village in the operation.

The first two phases of the revolutionary operations YPG launched against al-Qaeda groups on 1 November have ended on 5 November. YPG liberated 38 villages and the towns of Til Xelef and Menacir in the mentioned operations.
