YPG Press Centre said in a written statement that the ISIS attacks aiming to occupy Kobanê continued for the 64th day.

The statement remarked that the YPG/YPJ fighters continued mounting an active defense in all the areas where ISIS members are present, and inflicting heavy blows on the gangs with the support of FSA-affiliated Burkan Al Fırat forces and peshmerga heavy weapons.

According to the statement, the ISIS gangs on the other hand kept their ceaseless mortar attacks on the town centre going.

Eastern front

The statement said YPG/YPJ fighters are making further advance on the eastern front where ISIS gangs were targeted by effective attacks in Sukul Hal and Municipality areas last night.

23 gang members, including two leaders called Ebu Harîf and Seyfûl Îslam, were killed as YPG forces targeted and took control of an area occupied by the gangs in the Municipality Street region. Large quantities of ammuniton belonging to the gangs and corpses of three militants of theirs were also seized.

4 other members of the gangs were killed in an attack launched by YPG fighters in Sukul Hal region.

In another action targeting ISIS militants on the road of the Celebiye village, 30 km southeast of Kobanê, 6 gang members were killed, 2 vehicles of theirs were blown up and their arms were seized.

Southern front

At least 2 gang members were killed in an attack in which YPG fighters aimed at gang groups on the southern front of the town. Corpse of an ISIS militant and 8 explosives were seized by the YPG.

Western front

YPG/ YPJ fighters also targeted the gang groups deployed around the villages of Minaze and Izea in west Kobanê. Seven members of the ISIS were killed here.

Six gang members killed in Serêkaniyê

The YPG Press Centre said that the operation in south and southwest Serêkaniyê was going on, and that an expansive attack was carried out against the gangs in an area between Alya and Til Temir last night.

Two vehicles of the gangs were destroyed and at least five members of theirs were killed in the attack which was followed by a clash with the militants.

One other action aimed at ISIS groups near Mebruka and Dehma in southwest Serêkaniyê left a gang member dead and one other wounded.
