People’s Defense Units (YPG) Press Office released a written statement, reporting that YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are making further advances against ISIS in the Operation Cizire Storm in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor province.

According to the statement, Spanish YPG fighter Kendal Ramon lost his life after stepping on a mine planted by the gangs during the operation to liberate the village of Baghous from ISIS on May 13.

YPG also announced the death of Mazlum Cuma as a result of heart attack in Serêkaniyê on May 26.
