YPG (People's Defense Units) Efrin Canton Command has released a statement regarding some media reports that the Jabhat Al Nusra group is making reinforcements and preparing for an attack on Efrin.

The YPG said clashes around İdlib and Aleppo were taking place between the Nusra group and FSA groups, noting that the Efrin Canton has faced no attacks from these groups so far.

YPG informed that Jabhat Al Nusra which has launched a wave of attacks against FSA groups has taken control of a large area around İdlib and is now making an effort to take the control of the area around Aleppo.

According to the YPG statement, these groups have been involved in no actions or attacks against the Efrin Canton yet, underlining that the YPG wanted no problem or conflict with any sides.

"We declare once again that we are ready to establish a relationship and alliance with all the groups that recognize and acknowledge a peaceful, democratic and united Syria", YPG said, adding that they were also ready to respond in the strongest way to any attacks targeting the people and lands of the Efrin Canton.
