YPG Press Centre said in a written statement about the ongoing fighting in Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava, that the attacks of ISIS gangs aiming to occupy Kobanê continued yesterday on the 73rd day.

The statement said that fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) continued to inflict blows on ISIS gangs that are now trying to accomplish a result by launching mortar attacks on the city centre.

The YPG Press Centre provided the following information about the fighting on the eastern and southern fronts;

Eastern Front

Short-time fighting raged out between YPG units and ISIS groups in some areas, while the results of the clashes couldn't be made clear.

YPG units seized many arms and ammunition belonging to the gangs during surveillance activities in the areas liberated two days ago.

Southern Front

Seven members of the gangs were killed and one motorcycle of theirs was destroyed as YPG/YPJ units continued their offensives against the gang groups last night long.

One other offensive against the gang groups deployed in the hamlet of Erbus southwest of Kobanê left two gang members dead.
