3 civilians killed by Turkish airstrikes in Shengal laid to rest

Three civilians from Kobanê who were killed by Turkish airstrikes on Shengal on December 13, were laid to rest in Kobanê.

Thousands bid farewell to three civilians who lost their life as result of the occupant Turkish state’s air raids in Shilo Valley in Shengal territory last Thursday.

In a statement about the attack, the Command of Shengal Resistance Units (YBŞ, Yekîneyên Berxwedana Şengal) had said that a total of 17 air strikes were carried out by Turkish jets. YBŞ expressed that: "The civilians came from Kobanê and made their living in Shengal. They participated in the construction of water mills and were killed in cold blood by the Turkish state.”

Turkish jets also bombed Maxmur Refugee Camp the same day, killing four civilian women.

Funeral ceremony for the slain civilians, Xelîl Xalid Cio, Mistefa Hecî and Mehmûd Xan Temo, was attended by thousands of people from the Euphrates Region.

The last victims of Turkey’s genocidal war against the Kurdish people were laid to rest at the Martyr Dicle Cemetery in Kobanê.

Speeches held in the graveyard condemned the attacks of the Turkish state and gave messages of resistance.
