Hediye Yusif: Turkish occupation is afraid of our martyrs

Hediye Yûsif stated that the Turkish state attacked the cemeteries of martyrs in Afrin because it was afraid of the martyrs of freedom.

Families of martyrs, people from Afrin and Shehba cantons, members of civil society organizations and Northern Syria Federation Constituent Assembly Co-president Hediye Yusif visited the Resistance of the Age Martyrs’ Cemetery in the district of Ehres.

The visit began with a minute’s silence, after which Afrin Martyrs’ Families Council Member Xelîl Ehmed spoke and stressed that they would continue their struggle until Afrin is liberated.

Speaking here, Northern Syria Federation Constituent Assembly Co-president Hediye Yusif said the following; “Our martyrs sacrificed their lives for our people. Eid is a day when people come together in peace and happiness and when no blood is spilled. However, we see that the Turkish occupation forces are perpetrating inhuman acts against the people, kidnapping and murdering them. Such inhuman practices cannot crush our will. Our struggle for the liberation of Afrin continues.”

Hediye Yûsif added; “Turkish occupation is afraid of our democratic projects and martyrs. This is why they have demolished the Martyr Avesta Habur Cemetery of Martyrs in Afrin. This is an act against human rights.”

Visiting the graves of their beloved ones after the speeches, people chanted slogans pledging loyalty to martyrs.
