KNK-Rojava working for Kurdish national unity

The 5-people committee established by initiative of the Executive Committee of KNK-Rojava, is holding talks about the importance of the national unity with all Kurdish political parties.

Upon the call of the Autonomous Administration it was announced that unregistered political parties could open offices in Northern and Eastern Syria.

A delegation from KNK-Rojava visited the Left Democrat Community of the Syrian Kurds (KDÇK) on Saturday.

The delegation was composed of Derik Wise Leaders Board member, Sinan Ehmed, President of the Syrian Writers Union, Dilawir Zenki, KNK Executive Committee member Deriya Remedan and Rojava University lecturer, Sileman Eliyas.

The delegation met with Kurdistan Change Party, Kurdistan Innovation Movement, Kurdistan Workers’ Union Party and Kurdistan Green Party, all within the KDÇK.

The delegation was welcomed by Luqman Ehme, President of the Kurdistan Green Party, Kamiran Hisen, Kurdistan Change Party Co-Chair, Menal Mihemed, Kurdistan Innovation Movement Member and Kurdistan Workers Union Party Press Officer Ibrahim Berekat. The meeting was closed to the press.

Speaking to ANHA after the meeting, Luqman Ehme said: “We support this step and support the committee”.

Ehme added that the Kurdish parties were supportive of the KNK-Rojava initiative and discussed how this step will be taken thus to protect the people.

He also said that they are ready to participate in the negotiations in Rojava for the unity of Kurdish political movements.

The KNK-Rojava committee met with parties such as the Syrian Kurdish National Coalition, the Syrian Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party.

The Syrian Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party has not yet announced its position.
