March in Serêkaniyê against Turkish threats

“Erdogan, murderer of children, is attacking once again the Northern Syrian Revolution because the resistance led by the youth is rising.”

Hundreds of people in Serêkaniyê marched on Thursday against the threats issued by the occupying Turkish state against the region.

The march, which started in front of the Mala Gel (People’s House), reached the border with Northern Kurdistan.

People chanted slogans during the march, saying “No to Turkish invasion” and carried flags of the YPG/YPJ, SDF and photos of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The march reached the human shields tent on the border. The rally ended with a press statement read on behalf of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement.

Mihemed Rashid, from the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement, said that a sensitive process was underway and that all the peoples of the region, especially the Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs, were the target of the threats of the occupying Turkish state.

The statement added: “The aim of the threats against Serêkaniyê, and Northern and Eastern Syria, is to occupy our lands and to break the will of the peoples of the region. The international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues as well as isolation.”

The statement continued: “The occupying Turkish state and all other dictatorial states work day and night to implement their conspiracies against the Freedom Movement and the resisting people. We the Revolutionary Youth will protect our land and our dignity until the end and will bring an end to dictators and fascism of Turkey.”

The statement ended by saying: “Erdogan, murderer of children, is attacking once again the Northern Syrian Revolution because the resistance led by the youth is rising.”

Following the reading of the statement, the rally ended with slogans greeting the resistance of the people of Northern and Eastern Syria.
