Occupation terror against people in Afrin: 10 civilians injured

Turkish-backed militias stormed two villages in Afrin’s Mabata district and tried to expel the residents. When the people resisted, they were shot.

Attacks of the Turkish-backed militias and the Turkish army on the people of Afrin continue.

The Turkish state is systematically exerting pressure on the Kurdish population to drive them out of the region and instead to accommodate pro-Turkish settlers from Idlib and other regions of Syria.

Yesterday around 2:00 pm Turkish-backed militias stormed the villages of Upper and Lower Kokan in the district of Mabata in the occupied Afrin Canton. The gangs tried to force the villagers out of their homes. Those who refused were shot. The shootings injured ten people, including women and children. Two people suffered serious injuries.

As both villages are still under blockade, the villagers are threatened with death if they do not leave their homes. The militias did not allow the injured to be taken to hospitals.
