People in Aleppo pay tribute to martyrs

Families visited the graves of the martyrs for freedom to mark the Sacrifice Feast

On the first day of the Feast of Sacrifice hundreds of people visited the graveyard in the Seken Shebabi neighborhood at the Martyr Ebu Shiyar Square in Aleppo, where the graves of some martyrs are found, along with the fighters in the city.

The people who came together at the square paid tribute to the martyrs of freedom here.

Ziyad Xemgîn on behalf of the Martyrs’ Council delivered a speech as did Itan Reşo on behalf of YPG General Command after a minute's silence.

Both speeches underlined how people were liberated thanks to the sacrifice of the many martyrs. Thanks to them the revolution succeeded.

They also vowed to continue their struggle in order for Afrin to be liberated and families to go and pay tribute to their fallen sons and daughters.

After the speeches, the people gathered in the square and pledged that this feast should be one of victory against enemy and oppressors.

Martyrs' mothers spoke to ANHA and condemned the invasion of Afrin carried out by the Turkish army and their mercenaries. They also condemned the destruction of martyrs' graves by the invaders.

The mothers appealed to all human rights and legal institutions to act and prevent such attacks against martyrs.
