SDF fighters repelled another Daesh attack in Hajin

“Whatever the attacks might be, and from wherever they might come from, we are ready to resist to the end,” said Ekin Rojava, a combatant of the YPJ.

On December 27, the Daesh gangs attacked the areas liberated earlier by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) in Deir ez-Zor’s Hajin district from three different axes. The attempt was repelled by the SDF and YPJ fighters.

The media center of the YPJ released footage of the fight with Daesh in the mentioned region.

“In the morning of December 27, the Daesh tried an offensive against the areas liberated earlier by the SDF and YPJ fighters in Hajin. The clashes lasted for four hours yet the attempt was effectively repelled thanks to an enormous resistance of the SDF/YPJ fighters,” the YPJ’s statement said.

Ekin Rojava, a combatant of the YPJ who participates in the battle said: “We are getting closer to Daesh’s defeat every day in Hajin. There was a fierce fight yesterday, as a result a number of Daesh attackers were killed and large quantity of ammunition was confiscated.”

She said the SDF fighters continue their advance in the region and strike heavy blows to Daesh gangs. Ekin said: “Daesh gangs attack with the heavy weapons they have. When our forces retaliate they have to flee. They leave their dead behind as they run.”

Ekin added, “Daesh is destroyed with the effective strikes by our forces,” and that they are ready to resist not just in Hajin but all occupied territories.

“Whatever the attacks might be, and from wherever they might come from, we are ready to resist to the end,” Rojava added.
