Ciwan Mustafa, co-chair of the North and East Syria Health Committee, shared the data related to the last 24 hours of the coronavirus outbreak in the region.
Mustafa announced that a 66-year-old woman in Dêrik and a 52-year-old man died in Qamishlo because of the infection.
Mustafa also said that 65 new cases, involving 33 men and 23 women, have been detected in the region. The new cases were detected as follows: 12 in Heseke, 11 in Qamishlo, 16 in Dêrik, 6 in Dirbêsiyê, 1 in Amûdê, 1 in Tirbespiyê, 1 in Rimêlan, 2 in Girkê Legê, 3 in Kobanê, 2 in Deir Ez-zor , 2 in Tabqa and 8 in Raqqa.
Mustafa stated that 40 people recovered after being treated.
According to the latest data announced the total number of cases in the region rose to 689, the number of those who lost their lives to 42, and the number of those who recovered to 198.
