Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) issued a written statement regarding the death of fighter Berfîn Efrîn.

The statement said that Berfîn Efrîn, who joined the Martyr Avesta Team of the Afrin Liberation Forces, fought shoulder to shoulder with her friends on the war fronts and joined the caravan of the martyrs on 19 November 2023. "Our comrade Berfîn Efrîn grew up in a patriotic family in Afrin. With the start of the Rojava Revolution, our comrade Berfîn, like many brave young men and women, joined the ranks of the revolution in 2014 to protect her land and country."

The statement continued: "The invading Turkish state, which has never accepted the existence of the women's revolution, attacked and occupied Afrin with its tanks, artillery and planes in 2018. Our comrade Berfîn Efrîn also fought against the invading Turkish state within the scope of the Second Phase of the Epochal Afrin Resistance. She became an active commander. She fought with her comrades on the front lines of war to avenge the women, men and especially the children of Afrin. She fell as a martyr on 19 November and joined the caravan of the immortals.

We offer our condolences to the valuable family of our martyr comrade and to all our patriotic people. As the comrades of Martyr Berfîn, we will continue to fight tirelessly so that the invaders will never live comfortably in our lands. Hope, determination, will and uninterrupted struggle in the person of the revolutionaries of this country will ensure success.
