In its report on the crimes and human rights violations committed by the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries in the first half of August, the Afrin Human Rights Association drew attention to the systematic crimes against civilians.
The report of Afrin Human Rights Association said that civilian settlements were evacuated by mercenaries and camps were set up in villages once inhabited by Yazidi Kurds to make rooms for the mercenaries and their families.
According to the Afrin Human Rights Organization in Afrin, the Nureddin Zenki mercenaries affiliated to the Turkish state, after displacing civilians in a street in the town of Jindirês, sold the whole street to the Ahrar El Sharkiya mercenaries for 25,000 dollars. It was stated that mercenaries and their families from Idlib and other regions were placed in the houses on the street.
The report included the information that the Turkish state mercenaries set fire to the agricultural lands in the village of Omara in the town of Shera. Mercenaries cut trees in the area up to the villages of Gobek and Gulîlka in the province of Mabata and the Hawar Mountain. In addition, a hundred civilians living in Bilbilê province were forced to work during the slaughter.
The trees were sold in markets in Idlib, but most were smuggled to Turkey.
Noting that the occupying Turkish state continues its policies of Turkification and demographic change in Afrin, the report by the Afrin Human Rights Organization said that the civilians were forced to migrate and their houses occupied by Turkmen mercenary families.
The report emphasized that civilians were forced to migrate due to kidnapping, torture and looting of their property.
The report pointed out that the attacks and violations of rights against Yazidi Kurds in Afrin are also continuing. Thw Turkish state and its mercenaries camped in a wide area from the village of Tirindê in Afrin city center to Shêrawa province.
Camps for mercenaries and their families from Idlib were set up also in Bafîlonê, another Yazidi village in Shera province, and in the Newroz celebration area in the village of Afraza in Mabata province.
The Afrin Human Rights Organization said that the camps for Arab and Turkmen mercenary groups and their families were established to continue with the demographic change policy.
