The East Germany Free Kurdistan Federation (FED-KURD) issued a written statement regarding the attacks on Rojava.

The statement said: "The events in Syria and the attacks on the Rojava revolution do not surprise us. In 2014-15, there was a strong popular resistance in Rojava against ISIS. It is known that at first there was an international silence, until our people became the voice of the revolution in Europe and grew the resistance by getting all the people behind them. The voice and resistance of the people led the revolution to success."

The statement added: "Today, it should be clearly seen that the revenge for the ISIS defeat in 2014-15 is being taken through a genocidal attack against our people and the Rojava revolution. The attacks are carried out by the fascist Turkish state, that is trying to shape a Middle East without Kurds. We will not allow this.

We must turn the actions to be held on 14 December into a human flood and make our voices heard by everyone by shouting that we will not leave our lands, which our people liberated by sacrificing thousands of martyrs, to gangs and a gang state."
