German MPs want to visit the refugees from Afrin

A delegation of German Left Party MPs, journalists, academics and filmmakers have arrived in Rojava on Monday.

They were first welcomed by the autonomous administration representatives in Qamishlo and on

Tuesday they talked to news agency about the purpose of their visit to Rojava.
German MPs Zakin Nastage and Jan Akin spoke to ANHA news agency about their expectations and curiosity. 

Zakin Nastage said: “We came to Rojava to see how things go and to follow the current situation directly on field. We want to see the situation of the refugees who are now living in camps in Shehba. People who were forced to leave their homes from Afrin”. 

Nastage added: “We will do all in our power to make sure the German government stop helping the Turkish government and their mercenary allies of DAESH, responsible of the invasion of Afrin”.

Women have an important role in the Rojava Revolution

Referring to the role of women in the Rojava revolution Nastage said: "There has never been in the world a revolution like the one lived in Rojava. The role of women here is very clear”. The German MP also praised the common life model, saying that “a lot has been done here, and we want to help”.

Talking about the struggle against DAESH, the MP said: “The YPG, YPJ and other military forces in Northern Syria are fighting against the DAESH mercenaries in the name of humanity”.

Jan Akin said that the world public opinion must be critiziced for its silence during the invasion of Afrin carried out by the Turkish government. The German MP said its government support to Turkey is unacceptable.
