On 25 June 2015, five months after the liberation of Kobane by the YPG and YPJ, the People and Women's Defense Units, DAESH carried out a door to door massacre in the village of Berxabatan and the same Kobane city centre.
In these massacre, 233 civilians were martyred.
Now, a citizen from Kobane named Ednan Eli has collected the story of those martyres. He begun collecting stories in March and has finally compiled a book.
The book will be called "Jînameya Şehîdên berbanga sibehê" and will tell the stories of the people who fell martyr that day, thus perpetuating their memory.
The book will actually be organised in two volumes and will be printed in Qamishlo.
Reminding that Kurdish people have been subjected to many massacres in history and that these massacres were not documented, Ednan Eli stated that he wanted to document the Kobanê massacre so that its memory will not fade.
