Raqqa Internal Security Forces capture 5-people ISIS cell

Raqqa Internal Security Forces captured a 5-person ISIS cell which was preparing to carry out attacks in the city.

The Internal Security Forces Press Center announced last Monday that it had captured an ISIS mercenary. The Center reported that after the Raqqa Internal Security Forces' search, monitoring and evidence gathering, the General Public Security Center captured a 5-person ISIS cell that assisted the terrorist cell that attacked the Internal Security Forces headquarters in the west of Raqqa on 26 December 2022.

The arrested mercenaries specialized in mine and bomb making and were planning to attack the city.

The Internal Security Forces also seized a large number of explosives, more than 20 explosive detonators, more than 240 mines, telephones, laptop computers and more than 250 electrical extensions used in explosions.
