SDF arrests an ISIS leader in Deir ez-Zor countryside
The SDF and the International coalition forces continue the anti-ISIS operation in the North-East Syria region. About five operations have been conducted over the last two weeks.
The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement providing information about the latest operation carried out by their units.
“On December 16, our SDF Counter-terrorism Units, supported by the international coalition forces, arrested one of the ISIS local emirs (leaders) in the al-Kasra district, Deir Ezzor western countryside. The arrested terrorist was responsible for leading the ISIS terrorist cells in the region,” said the SDF statement on Monday.
“Based on precise intelligence information, our forces raided the house of the terrorist and arrested him, and confiscated documents and communication devices,” the statement added.
