The tribes of the southern region in Raqqa call on the international coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to liberate the people in the West Bank of the Euphrates.
The clans and tribes of the southern line of the city of Raqqa appealed to both the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the International Coalition to intervene and liberate their areas from the Iranian militias that practice atrocities against their families and relatives in the West Bank of the Euphrates River.
The clans of Al-Sabkha, Al-Waldah, Al-Boumanaa and Al-Ajeel conveyed through a statement the suffering and appeals of their tribesmen in the areas of Al-Sabkha and Ma’dan and the surrounding villages that are under the control of the militias linked to Iran who are committing, according to the statement; crime, abuse, murder and plunder of their clansmen.
The statement also said: “People are increasingly appealing to us to intervene, demanding the International Coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces to expel the militias from the west of the Euphrates, as these militias practice all kinds of crimes against the people of the region, including killing, harassment, intimidation and theft of money with the aim of displacing the indigenous people of the region in a systematic and organized manner and working on demographic change.”
The statement pointed out that the violations committed against the people by the Iranian militias are carried out in the presence and under the watchful eyes of the official Syrian forces (the regime forces), but they do not move a finger, which is considered by the tribes as a message of deporting the indigenous people from their areas and facilitating the implementation of demographic change.
The statement denounced the behavior of those militias, which it described as sectarian and malevolent criminal, which practiced killing, looting and forcibly seizing the livestock of the people of Badia al-Shamia. The statement said that the number of victims is more than 50 people from the area of Shanan to Ma’adan.
The statement concluded, calling on both the Syrian Democratic Forces and the International Coalition to intervene and support the people of the region to liberate their areas from the hands of criminal militias, and to stop the killings and the expropriation of money and land.
