• 'Measures in North and East Syria aim to prevent pandemic' 

  Speaking about the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the co-chairs of the North and East Syrian Autonomous Administration Executive Council co-chairs said that many measures were taken to prevent the virus from entering the region.

  Turkey is taking advantage of the Corona pandemic to expand its zone of occupation. According to SDF Commander Majed Fayyad al-Shibli, the situation is currently escalating, especially in and around Ain Issa. Nevertheless, the SDF maintains the ceasefire.

  In North and East Syria, preparations are being made for the expected outbreak of the corona pandemic. In Qamishlo a wedding hall is being converted into a treatment centre with 250 beds.
