Afrin People’s Municipality continues services in Shehba

The Afrin People’s Municipality continues to provide services in Shehba where hundreds of thousands of Afrin residents have had to migrate to due to barbaric attacks by the Turkish state.

The Afrin People’s Municipality opened a center in Shehba’s Til Qerah village to be able to serve citizens who have had to migrate.

Infrastructure has been greatly damaged in Afrin due to barbaric attacks by the Turkish state and their allied gangs, while hundreds of thousands of citizens were forced to migrate to Shehba due to threats of a massacre. So the Afrin People’s Municipality opened a service center in the Til Qerah village of Shehba’s Ihris district to be able to provide services to the people who have been forced out of their lands. All departments in the municipality and service areas and communes are present in this center.

Municipal workers started working immediately after the center was opened. The workers first laid the electrical network in the Til Qerah village with more than 600 households, and they distribute water throughout the day from tankers. Municipal committees are also working hard to fulfill the vital needs of citizens.

Co-mayor of the municipality in Til Qerah Heyder Egîd stated that citizens had a hard time after arriving in the village due to lack of power, water, and bakeries and added that the municipality has since resolved all these issues.
