Alex Star, representative of the US Department of State and international coalition official in charge of civilian affairs, Camberley Belley in charge of political affairs and international coalition special forces commander Colonel Tom Creek attended the meeting which was held in Raqqa Civil Council’s office in Ayn Îsa town.

The delegation from the Northern Syria Federation included international coalition forces political advisor Amed Seydo, MSD (Syrian Democratic Council) Co-chair Îlham Ehmed, MSD members Hesen Mihemed Elî and Ebdulqadir Mûhid, SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) Spokespersons Cîhan Şêx Ehmed and Telal Silo, SDF commander Ebdulqadir Hivêdlî, Raqqa Civil Council Co-chairs Leyla Mustefa and Şiwax Borsan, Tabqa Civil Council Co-chairs Rewşen Ehmed and Ehmed Şeban, and Raqqa Domestic Security Forces Executive İdrîs Mihemed.

According to the official statement published on SDF website, the latest situation in Raqqa and the management of security, services and administration after its liberation were discussed during the meeting.

MSD representatives stated that MSD undertakes the political representation in the areas liberated by SDF, and that the Raqqa Civil Council was also founded under the monitoring of the MSD.

On the other hand, the meeting also witnessed a discussion of the interventions by the region’s states, the Ba’ath regime’s efforts to hamper the operation to liberate Raqqa, as well as how Raqqa will be defended once is liberated, and the needed military conditions for this defense.

It was also highlighted that the international coalition should fulfil its mission against the Ba’ath regime’s efforts to hamper the campaign for Raqqa’s liberation from ISIS.
