The Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) held a meeting with political forces in the context of the council work in Dirbêsiyê.

After the meeting, the MSD issued a statement informing that "the meeting was to discuss the recent meeting between a delegation of the MSD and the Damascus government”.

The statement added: "Îlham Ehmed, who headed the MSD delegation, informed the participants about the content of the talks.

The political forces and parties in this Dirbêsiyê meeting considered the Damascus meeting an important step towards a political solution of the Syrian war".

The meeting in Dirbêsiyê also "emphasized that all the political parties and forces agreed that a political solution to the war in Syria must be sought.

For this - concluded the statement - we call on all Syrian democratic and political forces to join the talks aimed at a political and peaceful solution to the war in Syria and to strengthen negotiations for a democratic and decentralized Syrian roadmap".
