The village of Qirtwêran, north of Manbij’s Irema town, has been targeted by repeated artillery attacks of the invading Turkish army and affiliated gangs. Manbij and Al-Bab Military Councils are defending the village by retaliating the attacks.

Residents of the village state that the goal of the Turkish army and allied gangs is to intimidate the people and evacuate the village, stressing that they will never bow down in the face of attacks.

Villager Mihemed Xelef remark that they have taken root in their village like olive trees, underlining that they will resist against the attacks.
