SDF liberate a village and three hamlets in Cizire Storm campaign

A village and three hamlets were liberated by SDF on Tuesday.

The Operation Cizire Storm was resumed by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on Monday to clear the Dashisha area from the DAESH (ISIS) mercenaries and secure the Iraq-Syria border.

Within the scope of the Operation, the village of al-Fackah 15 km south of Shaddadi and the three hamlets in the region were cleared of DAESH mercenaries on Tuesday.

SDF forces had stopped the Operation Cizire Storm after the attacks launched on Afrin by the Turkish state and its mercenary allies.

The Operation Cizire Storm was resumed in May, and on Monday an operation was launched to liberate areas under the occupation of the DAESH mercenaries in southeastern Heseke and to clear the Syrian-Iraqi border.

A SDF fighter, named Kebar, confirmed that the operation was successful and that the area is now being cleared of DAESH mercenaries.

Fighters state that ISIS gangs are using civilians as human shields to prevent the advance of SDF.
