The Turkish state damages churches in Afrin

The invading Turkish army is stealing from the Maronia Church in Afrin and damaging the building through excavations.

The invading Turkish army and their allied gangs still rob, abduct and torture people as their campaign for demographic change continues. On top of these crimes, the Turkish army is also damaging 3 thousand year old historic sites and places of worship that belong to the Êzidî, Syriac and Alevi peoples.

The invading Turkish army and their allied gangs have stolen property from the Maronia Church in the Sherawa district's Berad village, and started excavations in the church.

The invaders have torn down two of the oldest churches in the world, the Maron and Julianus churches, which went back as far as the 4th century.

The gangs also tore down the Afrin Êzidî Union building last week, detonated the Zarathustra statue and burned the books in the building.
