Afrin Canton Kongra Star Members Wehide Xelîl and Erîfe Bekir said they will be increasing the struggle through the “All women rise up for Afrin” campaign.

The “All women rise up for Afrin” campaign by the Afrin Canton Kongra Star has continued since the beginning of the attacks by the invading Turkish state and their allied gangs against Afrin, and the second phase in the campaign was launched yesterday with a press conference.

Kongra Star Members Wehide Xelîl and Erife Bekir spoke to the ANF about the campaign.

 “WOMEN OF AFRIN WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON THEIR LANDS”

Kongra Star Member Wehide Xelîl stated that the Turkish state’s attacks against Afrin aim to realize the Ottoman dream and added: “We have launched the second phase of our All Women Rise Up For Afrin campaign. We have been holding marches, rallies and seminars as part of the campaign, and these will continue. The Turkish state wants to prolong their rule in the Middle East through invasions, like the Ottomans, but the women of Afrin will resist to the end, and our protests will continue.”

Xelîl also stated that they will not stop until they throw the Turkish state and their allied gangs out of Afrin and continued: “States who have turned a blind eye to all the attacks by the Turkish state and stayed silent to this day are partners in the invasion. Afrin won’t be left to them, because the women of Afrin have turned their whole lives into a resistance. The women of Afrin are up in arms 24/7, and those who think they will give up are those who don’t know the women of Afrin or Kurdish women.

Xelîl also called on all women to rise up for Afrin.

“WE WON’T STOP UNTIL WE ARE BACK”

Kongra Star Member Erîfe Bekir stated that they have been holding demonstrations since the day the Turkish state launched their invasion attacks against Afrin.

Bekir said they resisted the Turkish state attacks for 58 days, and added: “We never surrendered. There has been a mandatory migration. The Turkish state forced the people out of their homes. We will continue our resistance here in the same manner, and we will not stop until we are back in Afrin. The Turkish state will regret they entered Afrin.”
