YPG Spokesperson: Nobody should believe the Turkish media

Spokesperson of the YPG Nûrî Mahmoud said: "The Turkish media is waging a special warfare. Our anti-ISIS struggle and alliance with the International Coalition Forces and the US will continue."

People's Defense Units (YPG) Spokesperson Nuri Mahmoud spoke to ANF regarding the baseless and false news covered in Turkish media.

Mahmoud gave following assessment: "The Turkish state wants to denigrate the YPG forces and impede our alliance with the US forces as well as our resistance against ISIS terrorism. There are massive sabotage efforts run by the Turkish state media targeting our anti-ISIS struggle alongside the International Coalition Forces and the US. The Turkish media is giving its best to express its enmity against the YPG and proves its sympathy with the ISIS gangs in Syria. They directly target the peoples of Syria and the Syrian revolution by using the YPG just as a pretext, and they want to depict the ISIS and the gangs in Syria as legitimate forces. The Turkish press is pursuing to rule out the Syrian Revolution."

Remarking that the Turkish press is publishing false and forged news, Mahmoud continued: "The YPG does not simply change its name at haphazard. No one should pay the faintest heed to those baseless news full of lies of the Turkish media."

Spokesperson of the YPG drew attention to the tireless efforts of the Turkish state and its media to portray the invasion as legitimate and stir up a war, and added: "The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are fighting against the terror of ISIS at all places and their resistance will go on no matter what."
