YPJ Commander Zinarîn Qamişlo spoke to ANHA about the latest developments in Northern Syria and stressed that they don’t act under the protection of any forces and that they will protect the people to the end, relying on their own strength.

Zinarîn stated that the Turkish state is trying to intimidate the peoples of Northern Syria with the psychological warfare they implement and said: “Our people should not heed the threats of the Turkish state. We are not afraid of their threats.” Zinarîn stressed that the YPG, YPJ and SDF derive their strength from the people and added: “The peoples of the region will not bow down to the Turkish state’s attacks to enslave them.”

YPJ Commander said they have been expanding their forces in every area: “Every day, dozens of young people from all over the Middle East join our forces with a passion for freedom. The Turkish state is terrified of this passion. Unlike them, we don’t act under the protection of any forces. The only place we derive our strength from is our people.”

YPJ Commander Zinarîn Qamişlo stated that the SDF, YPG and YPJ will always protect the peoples of Northern Syria against all tyranny and oppression: “Our people should come together around the military forces. We will protect our region and our people from any and all attacks.”
