"Attacks against Northern Syria target the Democratic Project"

MSD Co-chair Emîna Umer stressed that the people would resist to the end of all attacks and carry the democratic project to victory.

The Syrian Democratic Syrian Council (MSD) met women in Ayn Isa district to assess the latest developments in the region.

MSD Co-chair, Emîna Umer, and MSD Women's Office chair, îlham Umer, joined the meeting which was organised in the town hall.

The meeting began with a minute’s silence in tribute to the martyrs. Umer said: "The invading Turkish state attacks against Northern Syria target women and children".

Umer remembered little Sara, who was murdered at the age of 6. "She has been martyred as the result of the agreements among foreign states that want to break the will of the Syrian peoples".

Umer also stressed that the "attacks were carried out just after the summit in Istanbul where Russia, France, Germany and Turkey met to discuss Syria".

MSD Co-chair added: "All these attacks by the Turkish state against Northern Syria, as well as the murder of Sheikh Bashir al-Hiwadî in Raqqa, and the attacks of DAESH mercenaries against the SDF forces, are actually carried out to prevent the democratic project implemented in these regions".

Emîna Umer ended her remarks saying that the people would resist to the end of all attacks and carry the democratic project to victory.

The meeting ended after speeches and comments from the audience.
