KDP deploys more troops into guerrilla areas

The KDP has once again deployed large contingents of troops and into the Sheladize area. The troops have been stationed near the Turkish military base of Sîrê.

While the attacks of ISIS in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) are taking on ever greater proportions, the KDP is moving ever new contingents of troops to the north of the region to support the Turkish army against the Kurdish freedom movement.

On Monday night at around 0.00 a.m., large contingents of troops were moved to Sheladize near a Turkish base in Sîrê. The transport consisted of many armoured vehicles, heavy weapons and armed units of the KDP.

The troop deployment followed a statement by the People's Defense Forces (HPG) that they were ready to defend South Kurdistan and its people against ISIS.
