The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) forces raided New Generation's offices in Hewler on July 21, preventing the movement from carrying out work specifically relating to the upcoming Kurdistan parliamentary election, a representative of the movement said.

“We had called together those who wanted to become representatives at the ballot boxes and observe the elections. They needed to be registered at the New Generation office in English Village, but the Zeravani prevented those people from gathering and our team was also prevented from doing its job,” he said.

“We have the movement’s name registered officially at the election commission and we have our own list for the elections. We are doing our jobs are within the instructions of the commission, which allows us to appoint representatives for the ballot boxes.”
