Turkey’s attacks against Kurds exposed in Strasbourg

Protests against the Turkish regime’s all-out war against the Kurdish people continue throughout Europe.

Activists from the Kurdish Revolutionary Youth Movement (Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger, TCŞ) and Free Young Women (Jinên Ciwanên Azad, JCA) in the French city of Strasbourg denounced the Turkish state’s occupation attacks in Kurdistan and seizure of HDP-run municipalities.

Reading out a statement in trains, the Kurdish activists informed the people about the latest developments in Turkey and Kurdistan.

The activists highlighted the genocidal attacks against southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq, and the appointment of trustees to the municipalities won by the HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) in the local elections of 31 March 2019.

The group also condemned the political genocider operation against Rosa Women’s Association in Amed (Diyarbakır) and demanded freedom for political prisoners.

The protest ended with the slogans “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” (Women, Life, Freedom) and “Freedom for Öcalan”.
