• Iranian woman raped in Van barred from legal advice 

  The lawyers of Iranian Z.N., who was raped at the Repatriation Center in Van, filed a criminal complaint against ŞÖNİM (Violence Prevention and Monitoring Centers) officials who prevented a meeting with their client.
• Woman dies in suspicious circumstances in Şırnak 

  The body of a woman named Keser Eroğlu was found in a water well in the village of Akçakuşak in Güçlükonak. An investigation was launched into the death of Eroğlu, whose death was treated as suspiciously.
• NuJINHA, a new voice for women in the Middle East 

  NuJINHA, founded by the Women's Media Culture Foundation, has begun broadcasting. The agency will broadcast in 5 languages and aims at becoming the voice of women in the Middle East.
• New investigation against female HDP politicians in prison 

  In November, a cell block of female HDP politicians in Kandira was raided by security guards. It came out now that the raid took place because of a new investigation.
• Ankara police attack protest for Gülistan Doku 

  In Ankara, a rally marking the anniversary of the disappearance of Kurdish student Gülistan Doku was attacked by police. At least seventeen women, including two JinNews reporters, were forcibly detained.
• Socialist Women in France: Let's meet in Paris on January 9 

  The Socialist Women's Union (SKB) in France called for participation in the march to be held in Paris on January 9 for Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez, who were murdered in the French capital 8 years ago.
• Where is Gülistan Doku? 

  One year ago, the Kurdish student Gülistan Doku disappeared without a trace in Dersim. In numerous cities in Turkey, women have taken to the streets to ask about her whereabouts and demand justice.

  According to the KCDP, at least 300 women were murdered by men in Turkey in 2020. In almost all cases, the perpetrator was from the closest circle of acquaintances. 171 other women were found dead in a suspicious manner.
