The first Kurdish theater workshop was opened in Daðpýnar town of Kars. While the acting is leaded by actor-director Aydýn Orak, the workshop will be organizing a show called Ji Bazarcixê Çend Çîrok (A few stories from Daðpýnar).
Theater lovers in Daðpýnar came together for the first time in a theater workshop in the town. The Kurdish workshop, which was organized by BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Daðpýnar Municipal, will be doing instructional works and discussing about the Kurdish theater in the next 10 days with the contributions of actor-director Aydýn Orak. Participated by nearly 15 young people, the workshop will last 10 days.
Workshop trainer Aydýn Orak drew attention to the importance of Kurdish theater workshop, emphasizing that similar workshops must be organized in many other places. Orak added that the workshop drew more interest than expected, despite Daðpýnar’s being a small town. Daðpýnar Mayor Ayhan Erkmen also stated that they will do their best for the progress of Kurdish language and art, adding that he was pleased with the interest shown in the Kurdish workshop.
‘KURDISH THEATER GROUP WILL BE FORMED’
At the final of the Kurdish workshop in Daðpýnar, a performance named Ji Bazarcixê Çend Çîrok (A few stories from Daðpýnar) will be displayed and the participators of the workshop will be presented certificate of attendance by Daðpýnar Municipal. Following the workshop, it is aimed to set up a substructure of a theater group within the body of the municipal.
