The Culture and Art Committee of Manbij is organizing a Music Festival for the first time this year. The festival which kicked off Monday morning is taking place in the building of Manbij Civil Administration Executive Council.

A number of residents and artists from Manbij are attending the festival.

Speaking before the launch of the festival, Manbij Democratic Civil Administration Executive Council Co-president Mihemed Xêr Şêxo said: “We salute Manbij which reflects the culture of peoples on these lands.”

Following speeches, artists Ubeyd El-Hecî, Mustafa Ebu El-Fewz and Mihemed Hilal from Manbij took to the stage.

Martyr Yekta theater group performed a play handling the crisis in Syria.

The festival continues with various events.
