Kurdish language initiative launched in Kobanê
Baqî Xido Culture and Art Center in Kobanê have launched a Kurdish language mobilization for children to learn and speak Kurdish correctly.
Baqî Xido Culture and Art Center launched a Kurdish language initiative to promote the correct use of Kurdish.
Speaking about the subject, Baqî Xido Center Library manager Perwîn Betal told ANHA: "Many children were lacking skills in reading, writing and speaking Kurdish. In order to cover these deficiencies and ensure the correct use of Kurdish, we have set up the Kurdish language initiative. In this context, we will teach Kurdish language on Fridays and Saturdays."
Some 10,000 children have joined the initiative so far. Parents gave full support to the initiative and stated that it is important for their children to use Kurdish correctly.
