The 12th London Kurdish Film Festival has launched the trailer of the “first-ever Global Kurdish Film Festival Edition” on Newroz day.
This year's Global Kurdish Film Festival will run from 16 to 27 April 2021.
The organisers explained: “Our official festival trailer is now live in time to celebrate this wonderful season for all Kurdish people from around the world."
The organisers added: "We would love to hear your thoughts, like and share with everyone you know to further expose the wonderful work of the Kurdish film industry.”
To celebrate this year's Global edition, the festival trailer aims to showcase as many Kurdish cities as possible from all regions. “As much as we would have loved to represent every Kurdish city and town, - said the organisers - we decided to highlight the cities that have most recently experienced painful conflicts, ethnic cleansing and genocide. This trailer is a way to reclaim our Kurdish cities and show solidarity and support for all the people whose stories are being exposed and celebrated in this year's programme of films.”
