This year's Newroz celebrations will commence in Suruç district of Urfa on 17 March while one single rally will take place in the main Kurdish city Amed on the 21st.
HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Central Executive Board has announced the programme for this year's celebrations of Newroz (Kurdish New Year), 21 March.
According to a notice HDP has sent to all provincial and district organizations, mass rallies are set to be held between 17 and 22 March as part of the central planning for some 90 provinces and districts. Celebrations will commence in Suruç district of Urfa on 17 March while one single rally will take place in the main Kurdish city Amed on the 21st. Istanbul and İzmir will mark the Kurdish New Year on 22 March.

18 March: Bitlis, Ağrı, Hakkari, Cizre, Kızıltepe, Silvan, Çınar, Varto, Erciş, Hilvan, Karakoçan, Ovacık, Tekman, Özalp, Bulanık, Karaçoban, Halfeti, Uludere, Kahta.
19 March: Şırnak, Iğdır, Malatya, Bingöl, Aydın, Kocaeli, Urfa, Batman, Maraş, Dersim, Kırşehir, Muğla, Bismil, Ardahan, Ergani, Nusaybin, Yüksekova, Doğubayazıt, Kurtalan, Tatvan; Hınıs, Başkale, Mazıdağ, Digor, Karayazı, Norşin, Tutak, Cihanbeyli, Kağızman.
