Sakine Cansız documentary to be screened at Nice Festival in France

“Sara - My Whole Life Was A Struggle” documentary on the life of Kurdish revolutionary woman Sakine Cansız will be screened at the International Film Makers Festival held in Nice, France.

“Sara - My Whole Life Was A Struggle” documentary on the life of Kurdish revolutionary woman Sakine Cansız will be screened at the International Film Makers Festival held in Nice, France.

The festival will take place between May 7-14 and will bring film makers from around the world together. The documentary “Sara - My Whole Life Was A Struggle” will be screened in the Room 3 at 11.40 on May 11.

The documentary is running for the Best Scenario, Best Documentary, Best Foreign Language Documentary, Best Original Documentary awards.

Halkawt Mustafa’s documentary “Women ISIS Fears” is also in the program of the Nice Film Festival this year.

The festival has been held for 3 years and is an important meeting point for film makers from Europe and Middle East. Hundreds of film makers and directors are meeting in Nice again this year.

Bircan Delal Yıldız, one of the producers of the documentary Sara, will be representing the film in the festival. Yıldız called on the peoples and friends of Kurdistan to not leave them alone in the festival.

The documentary will be screened in several festivals and activities including Barcelona, Madrid and Dournenez Film Festival.
