Turkish soldiers have demolished a school providing education in Kurdish in Yalaza village of Amed's Lice district.
Following the declaration of a curfew in 14 villages in Amed's Lice, Kocaköy and Hazro villages, Turkish soldiers have entered the Yalaza (Kerwas) village early Thursday morning.
Construction equipment started demolishing the 4-storey school building which had been constructed in 2014 with efforts of KURDÎ-DER in order to provide education in mother-tongue, Kurdish for children in Yalaza (Kerwas) village in Amed's Lice district.
Lice Prosecutor's Office issued a demolition order for the school, the first communal Kurdish school in Turkey, in 2014 but revoked the decision in the face of the resistance by the people.
