Following the call of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, hundreds of people started going towards the Tishrin Dam.
The Tishrin Dam has been under heavy attack by the Turkish state and its proxies for over a month, and is in serious danger.
The Autonomous Administration warned that the dam, which is vital for the region's electricity, is on the verge of exploding. If the dam bursts, many agricultural lands from Raqqa and Tabqa to Iraq could be flooded.
The Autonomous Administration called on international forces and institutions to stop the attacks by the Turkish state, and called on the people to take action to protect the dam and support the resisting SDF fighters.
Following the call, hundreds of people in Heseke set out in the early hours of the morning and started heading towards the dam.
It is expected that people from Raqqa and Tabqa will also go to the dam.
