Demir: We will work to prevent emigration from Ağrı

Nejla Demir is one of the candidates of the Green Left Party in Ağrı (Agirî). She said that she would work to prevent emigration from the region.

In Ağrı (Agirî) the hope of the Kurdish people is blooming again thanks to the Green Left Party. The goal of the party is to win all the four deputies that this constituency returns to Parliament.

Speaking to ANF, Nejla Demir, one of the Green Left Party Agiri candidates, said that the first project she wants to implement is something that has been attempted for a long time in the local community: agricultural production based on women's projects. Pointing out the necessity of co-operatives based on women's production, Demir said: "We have to prevent and stop the emigration of our young people who have given up on everything and are struggling with unemployment. They migrate to Western countries as refugees in the hope of finding a job."

Who is Nejla Demir

Nejla Demir was born in Ağrı in 1988, is married and has two children. She attended primary, secondary and high school in the city and completed her undergraduate education at Yüzüncü Yıl University, Faculty of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering. She completed her master's degree at Yüzüncü Yıl University, Institute of Science and Technology, Animal Science. Demir started to serve in the Chamber of Agriculture in 2011 and carried out work to improve the agricultural sector.
