Deir ez-Zor Military Council announced the fact that the gangs affiliated to Turkey and ISIS gangs have become active again in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor in North and East Syria.

A statement by the Council on Friday said: “The developments in Syria pose a great threat to the security of our people and the Deir ez-Zor region. In particular, the gang groups of the occupying Turkish state and ISIS gangs have become active again in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor. As the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, we declare that our fighters have moved to the city centre of Deir ez-Zor and west of the Euphrates in order to protect our people. The purpose of this advance is to ensure our security and secure our people.  

The people of Deir ez-Zor can rest assured. We will do our part to protect them and the security of the region. We thank the people of Deir ez-Zor for welcoming us with enthusiasm. All our people should defend their land shoulder to shoulder with our fighters.”
