Dr. Gianni Tognoni is the Secretary General of the Rome-based Permanent Peoples Tribunal.

In this interview with journalist Erem Kansoy, Dr. Tognoni spoke about Turkey’s war crimes in Shengal, as well as the geopolitical dimensions of Turkey’s recent actions in the region, in the context of global violations of international law and the need for new international legal mechanisms to address contemporary conflict situations.
